Finances are Uniquely Personal

Finances are Uniquely Personal

February 06, 2020

Finances are uniquely personal. Everyone has different attitudes and behaviors that revolve around money and how they manage their finances. It only makes sense that we pick up many of our money managing habits from our parents from a very early age. We don't even realize that how much our thoughts and feelings about money have been shaped in our earliest developmental years. Some people pick up really great habits while others pick up not so great habits. That doesn't mean that we can't improve our habits.

One of the best things we can do is to recognize some of the financial patterns that we have - stop and think about why we have them.  Where did we learn to spend, save, and invest like we do? How has that impacted our lives and relationships with others?  We will talk a lot more about positive personal money habits as we go. In the meantime, take some time to evaluate your relationship with your uniquely personal finances.
