In investing, there is no free lunch. There is no investment strategy that can honestly guarantee great returns with no risk. You’re going to have to accept a thing called volatility. Risk and return are connected - generally, the greater an investment's possible reward over time, the greater its level of price volatility, or risk.. You can’t separate them. Investments with the highest highs may also have the lowest lows. If you want to earn money investing, you need to weigh the possible risks and returns and then be able to sit through the down times. The good news is that, whether you’re comfortable with high risk or not, there are investments that will be suitable for you.
